Perspective

Have you ever had someone tell you your life history as they heard it from another party?  For good or bad, it's an interesting experience.

A little in love

A couple walk down the street holding hands when they run into some construction where the sidewalk is blocked off.  Reluctantly, they break hands and split up - he stays on the street near the construction and encourages her to hurry over to the sidewalk on the other side.  They continue walking down the street, on either side of it now, watching each other, waving to each other a farewell, as they part ways for their respective destinations.  He pauses on the corner and waves at her again.  She turns her corner but turns back around to wave yet another goodbye.  He is forced to wait at a light and watches her retreating back, waving again, although she does not see it.  When he crosses the street, she pauses to watch him continue on his journey, waving again.

Hidden Gems

<pulling up to a drive through window>
Teller: (in a singsong voice) Hello!  That'll be $9.10.
Me: Wow, you have a nice voice.  Do you sing?
Teller: Why, yes I do.  I actually really do.  I sing in our church's choir.  I absolutely love it.  You should come listen.  And if you ever come back here, I'll have to sing for you.
Me: I'd love that.

Convoluted Connections

<while discussing romantic relations>
Friend: Those two would never consider each other; they grew up together.
Me: Yes, how is that?  Looking at my family genealogy, people married those they grew up with and people who lived near them.  And now, growing up together somehow means that we can never think of someone romantically.
Friend: I blame musicals.
Me: ??
(Friend gives explanation; I give counter argument)
Friend: Ah, you're right.  I guess I should stop blaming musicals.  So, in choosing between air conditioning and television, I'll say it's due to air conditioning.

Say it with Song

This song describes my pump:
Up Down by Shinee (enough English lyrics for you to get the idea)

This is how I feel right now:
I'm So Tired by the Beatles

So, this is what I'm listening to:
Wherever You Are by One Ok Rock (yep, it's in English, mostly)

And:
Notes 'N Words by One Ok Rock (they're my happy place, what can I say?)
